Farolete is built on the belief that your creative work belongs to you. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and password (stored as a secure hash).
When you create or publish a Lamp, we store the generated HTML/CSS/JS code, your interactions with the Lamper AI agent, and any metadata you provide (name, description, slug).
We automatically collect usage data such as page views, Lamp views, interactions, and basic device/browser information to improve the platform.
To operate and improve the Farolete platform, including the Studio, feed, and discovery features.
To personalise your experience — surfacing relevant Lamps, creators to follow, and trending content.
To communicate with you about your account, security events, and product updates.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Lamps you publish are public by default and visible to anyone on Farolete. The source code of published Lamps may be viewable by other users.
If you fork another creator's Lamp, attribution to the original author is preserved.
Draft Lamps in the Studio are private and only accessible to you.
Messages you send to the Lamper AI agent are processed to generate Lamp code. These messages may be retained to improve the quality of the AI models.
We do not use your Studio conversations to train general-purpose models without your consent.
We use a session cookie (`sb-access-token`, issued by Supabase Auth) to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential to the platform and cannot be opted out of while using the service.
We may use local storage for UI preferences such as theme and editor settings. No tracking cookies are used.
Your account and Lamps are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which will permanently remove your profile and unpublished Lamps.
Published Lamps that have been forked by others may persist in fork history after deletion.
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Lamp previews run in sandboxed iframes to protect you and other users from malicious code.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you via email for material changes.
